CTGI participated in the Sustainability & Renewable Energy Forum SAREF 4.0

CTGI participated in the Sustainability & Renewable Energy Forum (SAREF 4.0) in Kuching this September. Organized by Sarawak Energy Berhad under the theme “Working Together Towards Our Goals – Regional Sustainable Growth and Prosperity,” the forum gathered representatives from the Malaysian government, the International Hydropower Association (IHA), the Hydropower Sustainability Alliance, and hydropower companies from across Southeast Asia.

In the thematic session “Sustainable Hydropower Development: Social Management and Benefit Sharing, Climate Adaptation and Mitigation”, CTGI shared its experience, ESG philosophy and practical initiatives in ecological and environmental protection throughout the planning, construction, and operation of large-scale hydropower projects. The company also highlighted its contributions to local sustainability including local employment, regional infrastructure improvement, and scholarship programs in its international projects, demonstrating its commitment to advancing global energy sustainability.

As part of the exhibition tour, the exhibition booth of CTGI was visited by several distinguished officials, including Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation YAB Datuk Amar Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof; Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg; Minister of Public Utilities and Communications Dr. Chua Soi Lek; and Deputy Minister of Public Utilities and Communications and Chairman of Sarawak Energy YB Datuk Haji Ibrahim Bin Haji Baki, who learned about the company's business operations.

The forum provided a valuable opportunity for CTGI to strengthen collaboration with international peers in the clean energy sector. It also promoted CTG's core values and shared China's hydropower expertise and standards with the global community.
