2026-01-09

As part of China Three Gorges Asia-Africa’s continued commitment to sustainable community development and social responsibility in Jordan, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Taibeh Municipality in Jordan. The MoU was signed by Mr. Thabet Al-Sharida, Chairman of Taibeh Municipality Council and Eng. Owais Amayreh, Project Manager, representing CTG Asia-Africa.

The agreement aims to support the implementation of road rehabilitation works within the municipality, addressing critical infrastructure needs and improving the quality of local road networks. This initiative reflects CTG Asia-Africa’s dedication to supporting host communities by investing in essential infrastructure that enhances daily life for residents.

Through this partnership, CTG Asia-Africa seeks to improve road safety, enhance connectivity between local areas, and facilitate smoother transportation for residents, businesses, and public services. Improved road conditions are expected to contribute to economic activities, reduce transportation challenges, and support overall social and economic development within Taibeh Municipality of Jordan.

The Taibeh Municipality is located in the southwestern part of Irbid Governorate. It is the only municipality which administratively belongs to Irbid Governorate. The town enjoys a strategic location, approximately 18 km from Irbid city and 85 km from the capital Amman, which gives it strong connectivity with surrounding urban and rural areas.

This collaboration represents a meaningful step towards strengthening cooperation between the project company and the local municipality and aligns with CTG Asia-Africa’s broader vision of promoting sustainable development, long-term community impact, and shared value creation in Jordan.
