Following the good practices at Karot HPP, The Annual Community Open Day was successfully organized at the Karot Project Site. The event is meant to engage the local community and strengthen relationships with neighboring communities. Around 60 participants from the local vicinity, including school children, teachers and families, were invited to take part in the event.

The program began with a brief introduction to the key accomplishments of CSAIL and its positive impact on the community. CSAIL expressed their sincere gratitude to the local families for their participation and continued support. As a special gesture for appreciation, the school children presented handmade drawings inspired by the project, showcasing their creativity and appreciation. During the project tour, the community members visited the viewing platform, the spillway and the dam structure. Community members keenly followed the guided tours and asked questions relating to the reservoir, the dam and the powerhouse.

The Open Day is a meaningful and successful initiative that strengthens community bonds and deepens the friendship between the Chinese and Pakistani people.
