Recently CTG Asia Africa showcased its flagship Karot Hydropower Project at the International Conference on "Regional Connectivity & Pakistan: Emerging Opportunities", held at a local hotel and the President House in Islamabad. The event was attended by Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam; Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, State Minister Finance and Revenue, Ali Pervez Malik and Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed including other prominent leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss Pakistan's evolving role in regional economic integration.
In his address, Mr. Zhou Qiang, CEO of CTG Asia Africa, underscored the company's commitment to Pakistan's renewable energy sector, with investments exceeding $6 billion in sustainable projects. He highlighted Karot HPP's strategic significance, its contribution to bolstering Pakistan's energy security, and its socio-economic impacts, including local employment generation and community development initiatives.
A significant highlight of the conference was the launch of the report titled “Karot Hydropower Project – Insights & Success”, authored by CSAIL's Senior Advisor, Mr. N.A. Zuberi. The publication details the development journey of the 720 MW Karot Hydropower Project, Pakistan's inaugural hydroelectric venture under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Honorable President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, in his keynote address, reaffirmed the government's commitment to fostering international collaboration for economic growth and energy sustainability. He emphasized the strategic importance of projects like Karot HPP and Gwadar Port in positioning Pakistan as a regional connectivity hub.

The event concluded with a formal presentation of the report on Karot Hydropower Project to the Honorable President of Pakistan by Mr. Zhou Qiang, CEO CTG Asia Africa, underscoring the project's significance as a model for future renewable energy investments in Pakistan.
