CSAIL recognized by NEPRA in its Annual HSE Evaluation

Recently, China Three Gorges South Asia Investment Limited (CSAIL) was recognized as outstanding achievers in the NEPRA Annual HSE Performance Evaluation Report 2024, reaffirming our unwavering commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.

NEPRA initiated its comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) evaluation in 2021, requiring stringent documentation, data submissions, and compliance evidence from 164 power plants operating across Pakistan. This rigorous process aims to foster a culture of safety and sustainability within the nation’s energy sector.

In this year’s evaluation, CSAIL projects demonstrated exceptional performance:

Three Gorges Wind Projects (TGF, TGS, and TGT) secured an impressive 93 points, earning 12th place out of 164 power companies nationwide. These projects set a benchmark in HSE practices with advanced safety management systems, proactive workplace safety measures, and exemplary environmental stewardship.

Karot Hydropower Project achieved a commendable 90 points, ranking 16th out of 164 power companies. This recognition reflects its steadfast dedication to HSE compliance, operational excellence, and sustainable development.

This recognition underscores the relentless efforts of CSAIL and its partners in maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. The NEPRA Annual HSE Assessment, a prestigious evaluation, measures power plants against stringent criteria, including risk management, environmental impact mitigation, and employee well-being. High rankings in this assessment signify adherence to global best practices and a commitment to continuous improvement.
