03 August, 2021 (Beijing/Lisbon) – Mr. Ignacio Herrero was appointed as the CEO of CTG Europe after serving the company as the Executive Vice President since June 2016, making him the first local CEO for China Three Gorges Corporation (“CTG”) in the history for its wholly-owned overseas subsidiary. 

The management team of China Three Gorges International Limited (“CTGI Limited”) were present at the ceremony where both the Board Chairman Mr. Wu Shengliang and the president Mr. Lyu Jiongtao expressed their great appreciation for his enormous dedication and contribution over the past 5 years and congratulated him to be the CEO. Looking back, Mr. Wu commented that “We are proud of what we have achieved with the support of Mr. Ignacio Herrero and other employees. In this short period of time, CTG Europe turns into one of the leading power producers of renewable energy in Europe”. “Taking Ignacio’s appointment as an opportunity, I’d like to make it clear that any talent is welcomed to join in our CTG family regardless of his/her nationality”. Mr. Lyu mentioned that the appointment of Mr. Ignacio Herrero as the CEO of CTG Europe is a milestone and a big step forward for CTGI Limited in its organizational restructuring and management system innovation. Mr. Herrero expressed his sincere thanks to CTGI Limited and CTG Europe for the great support and trust, while looking back over the past 5 years’cooperation with deep affection, which has brought not only familiarity with the business itself, but also a high degree of value recognition and consensus on strategic goals with the company. “I’m really honored to serve as the CEO during such a significant period of development and progress at the company and looking forward to working closely with all the employees and the company’s management team as we continue to execute our development strategy and build on the positive momentum already underway at CTG Europe.”Mr. Herrero said.
