2021-08-24

In mid-July 2021, Germany was hit by a flood disaster, continuous heavy rainfall caused huge disasters in the middle and west areas. More than 100 people lost their lives and more than 1000 people are missing. Companies have responded to government initiatives to provide support to combat the social and people’s livelihood problems caused by the floods.

In this context, WindMW Service GmbH, together with CTG (China Three Gorges Corporation), has made possible a  donation to support the flood victims and their helpers, thereby assuming a great social responsibility for their fellow human beings.

It was donated on July 26, 2021 to the following three organizations: “A heart for children",“Technical relief organization”and"Aktion Deutschland Hilft".

As the local branch of the Technisches Hilfswerk (THW) is located in Bremerhaven, a donation handover  took place on July 30, 2021. The managing director of WindMW Service GmbH, Sebastian Schmidt, handed over the symbolic donation check to the local representative of THW, Mr. Torben Tietjen. Mr. Tietjen thanked on behalf of the foundation and all helpers for this generous donation.

In addition to this Flood Relief donation, WindMW together with CTG have launched 10 donation projects to support local community every year. The Chinese shareholder CTG is trying her best to integrate voluntary social engagements towards the local society and the environment into their business operations and into their relations with local government and business partners, after the acquisition of 80% shares of WindMW. A great picture of integration of both Chinese and German culture and value in the company is gradually demonstrated to the local public.
