Recently, CTG Asia-Africa in partnership with IUCN Pakistan celebrated the World Environment Day at the Karot Hydropower Project. An awareness walk and plantation drive was held and drew wide participation from project staff, local schools, and community members. The walk participants joined the global call to Beat Plastic Pollution with a vibrant sense of awareness and community-driven environmental protection.
Every year, Karot Hydropower Project removes more than 100 tons of plastic waste from the Jhelum River, ensuring its proper disposal. This ongoing effort helps keep the river clean and supports a healthier ecosystem for local aquatic species.
From raising awareness to reducing plastic waste, CTG Asia-Africa continues to champion eco-conscious values and promote a cleaner, greener future for all.
